I-CARES USER FREQUENTLY ASK QUESTIONS

1. How do I create my own I-CARES account?

Answer:      There are two ways of creating your i-cares account, please refer to the following methods:

a)      You may click on the “Free Sign Up” Button; or

     

 

b)       You may click on the Registration link at the Log-in panel which is located at the right side of your screen.



c)       I-CARES will require you to input your student number. If you have forgotten your student number, please refer to your Student ID.

d)       After you indicate your student number, you will be directed to fill-out the “Application Form”.

e)       Make sure to complete the required fields, then click the “Submit” button.



2. What should I do if a notification window displays “Invalid Student Number” upon registration?

Answer:      You should inquire with your School Registrar and validate if your student number is already forwarded for I-CARES pre-registration. Upon his/her advice you may try to register at www.i-cares.com again. Pre-registration of the student numbers to the system is required to safeguard the exclusivity of I-CARES to STI students and graduates.



3. How will I know if my registration from I-CARES was successful?

Answer:      The I-CARES successful registration notification is directly sent to the email address you’ve indicated in creating your I-CARES account. In case you do not receive the copy of the notification in your email account, please follow the steps below:

a)      Check your junk/spam email folder

b)      Validate if the email address account you’ve registered is correct and active.

i.      If the email address you’ve used upon I-CARES registration is already inactive, kindly inform the I-CARES administrator thru email at career@sti.edu with the following details:

Complete Name: 

Student No.: 

STI Branch: 

Program: 

Graduation Date:

Active Email Address:

ii.      • The I-CARES administrator will send you the copy of your successful I-CARES registration notification to your active email address.



4. Why can’t I log into my I-CARES account?

Answer:      When logging into your account, you have to ensure of the following steps:

a)      Make sure that you have entered a correct username and password from the Login panel.

 Note: Password field is case sensitive so you have to validate that all characters are correct (e.g. upper case vs. lower case) before you Login.

b)      If you can’t remember the username or the password you use on your account, send us a report thru email at career@sti.edu with the following details:

Complete Name:

STI Branch: 

Program: 

Graduation Date:

Active Email Address:

i.      If the email address you’ve used upon I-CARES registration is already inactive, kindly inform the I-CARES administrator thru email at career@sti.edu with the following details:



5. How can I change my password?

Answer:      To change your password, follow the steps below:

a)      Log-in to your account.

b)      Click the “My Account” link located at the Login panel.

c)      Type your preferred new password then confirm

d)      Click the “Update” tab.

e)      A screen notification will appear stating that “You have successfully updated your account”.

f)      To validate, access your I-CARES account using your new password.

6. How can I retrieve my password?

Answer:      You may recover your password by following the steps below:

a)      Click the “Forgot Password” link located at the Login panel.

b)      Enter your email address you’ve used when you successfully registered at I-CARES then click “Submit”.

c)      I-CARES will send a notification with your password to the email address you’ve entered.

d)      Check your junk email folder if you do not receive the notification in your Inbox folder.

e)      Log-in to I-CARES using your username (email address) and the computer-generated password.

Note:      To maintain the security of your I-CARES account, it is advisable that you change your password by clicking the “My Account” link located at the Login panel and follow the steps on “How can I change my password?”



7. How do I apply for the job?

Answer:      You may apply for the jobs advertised at www.i-cares.com by following the methods below:

a)      Log-in to your account.

a)      Click on the job vacancy you preferred.

a)      If your resume is already updated, click on the “Apply” button.

a)      If you have to update your resume, click on the “Update Resume”.

a)      To submit your application, click on the “Save and Apply” tab.




8. How do I update my resume?

Answer:      To update your resume, please follow the methods below:

a)      Log-in to your account.

b)      Under the Alumni Tab which is located at the right side of your screen, click on the “Update Resume”.


c)      Once you have updated your resume, click on the “Save” button located on the lower portion of the page.







I-CARES EMPLOYER FREQUENTLY ASK QUESTIONS

Employer List of Questions:

3.       How do I know if someone apply for a specific job post?



1. How can we be part of your Academic Partners?

Answer:      To be a registered I-CARES Academic Partner, please refer to the following method:

a)      You may click on the “Application Form” under Academic Partners field which is located at the right side of your screen.



b)      Make sure to accomplish all the required field from the form. Please provide as well the necessary documents needed for the registration. Click on the “Submit” button to send your application.

c)      Upon successful registration, you will be redirected to the acknowledgement page. Password will be sent to the contact person’s email address you have provided.

Note:      Contact person email address will also serve as Username.



2. What is the process of Job Posting?

Answer:      To process for a Job Posting, please follow the steps provided:

a)      Log-in to your account.

b)      Click on the “Post Job” under Academic Partners field.



c)      Make sure to accomplish all the required field before you click on the “Submit” button.

Note:      Choose one from the following options provided under the “Request Action” field:

• Filter Only -       I-CARES will provide filtered applicants based on the required competencies of the employer.

• Filter and Post -       I-CARES will filter and have the job posting request to be posted on the I-CARES website “Job Vacancies”.

• Post Only -       I-CARES will only post the employers job vacancy request.

d)      Click the “Submit” button after accomplishing the fields.



3. How do I know if someone apply for a specific job post?

Answer:      You can check the following to verify applicants from a job post.

a) My Online Applicants –       Applicant directly apply online from a company job post.

b) My Referrals –       I-CARES will send filtered applicant based on the required competencies on a specific job post. Note: I-CARES will only send filtered referrals if “Filter Only” or Filter and Post” was chosen from the Job Posting Request process.
